Silver Term, 2021 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

APPRECIATION:

To God be the glory for another wonderful term that started and ended joyfully despite all the ups and downs created by the pandemic that started over a year ago. We specially thank God for all our loyal and faithful parents for their spirit of cooperation and understanding.

GRADUATION CEREMONY/PRIZE-GIVEN DAY:

The graduation/prize-giving ceremony will come up on July 2021. The dress code for all graduating learners (KG and Primary 6) is black or navy blue suit with white shirt and wine bow-tie. Graduating learners in KG will pay N7000 (seven thousand Naira) only and primary 6 learners will pay N10,000 (ten thousand naira) only. Non-graduating learners (Nur 1 & 2, Primary1-5) will pay N5000 (five thousand Naira) only.

SCHOOL FEES:

We would like to inform our parents/guardians (new and old) that the teller or payment advice slips bearing evidence of full payment of school fees should be presented to the school on or before resumption date. We would also like to bring to your notice the downward review of the school fees. The N7000 increment of the fees for all the classes has been scaled down; N5000 for the nursery and Kg, and N6000 for the primary classes.

HOLIDAY PROJECT:

Parents/guardians should ensure that their children/wards do their projects as it is going to be part of their Continuous Assessment (C.A).

BABY OF THE TERM:

We thank God for aiding our parents to be delivered of a baby boy. We are using this medium to rejoice with Mr. & Mrs Adeoti. You are welcome to Elias’ family.

PTIF MEETING:

We held our PTIF online because of the pandemic. Both ideas and issues regarding parenting strategy, chess club, school fees increment among other things were discussed.

ASSIGNMENT:

It is our policy to give take-home assignments of at least two per day. No learner goes home any day without assignments. We would love the support of the parents in ensuring that their children/wards do the take-home assignments.

CHESS CLUB (An Educational Game Opportunity for Critical Thinking):

Based on discussion the school had with parents during the on-line PTIF meeting, a chess club has been enacted for interested students. The fees for this is N3,000. Interested parents should pay to the bursar or pay along with school fees and show evidence of payment before the commencement of the class.

The activities of the school can be monitored by logging on to the website www.eliasschools.com. The result will be available from 27th of April. RESUMPTION:

The school will be re-opened for activities on Tuesday 4th of May, 2021.
