Elias Nursery And Primary School

Elias International Nursery and Primary School’s story began in 1989 as a technical school, marking the start of a remarkable journey that would see the school evolve and grow over the years. 

The school started a new Chapter on 8th January 1991 as Nursery and Primary at Ile-Epo Oko Odo with an intake of seven pioneer pupils, three boys and four girls under the management of two teachers, Mr Adu and Miss Annie. As a colossus of learning, Elias International School has her aims and objectives that serve as checks and balances for its operations; among which are; (1) To assist  in training the cradles to have a solid educational foundation (2) To accord the parents the maximum opportunities to place their children in the rightful curriculum of education for all around development of their psychomotor, affective and cognitive domains of learning. Her Objectives is to promote  the educational standard of the host community and environment and to develop in the children from cradle with functional gadgets; computers, audio visual for production. In April 22, 1991, the school resumed operations with 25 pupils on roll, including 11 new intakes and 14 old ones. The school had two dedicated teachers, Mr. Adu and Miss Annie Patience, who were joined by a new teacher, Miss F.Y. Oyewole.

January 1991 Elias International Nursery and Primary school Alimosho Annex was found by the Director Dr. Engr Dosunmu. It started with few number of teachers, Mr A.B Audu and Mr Ogundairo Tony total number of 3 boys and 3 girls.

June 15, 1991, the school held its first Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting, bringing together parents and teachers to discuss the school’s progress and future plans.

July 25, 1992, the school held its first graduation ceremony, where Nursery 2 pupils were graduated to Primary 1. This milestone marked a significant achievement for the school and its students.

– The Primary school in 1995 received its Approval (permission for them to establish and operate)

Elias International Secondary Schools

Elias International Secondary School started on 4th January, 1993, with an intake of thirty-four pioneer students; fifteen boys and nineteen girls under the management of the pioneer principal. Mr Oyekanmi Festus Fasasi and six other teaching staff. Awareness and recruitment of teachers commenced also. Elias International Secondary school has since birth been imparting knowledge, abilities, skills and helping in the development of character and mental powers that result from such training; Intellectually, morally, physically and computer education inclusive.

Under the Management of the pioneer Principal was Mr Oyekanmi Festus Fasasi in 4th January, 1993, Elias International Secondary School kicked off with Junior Secondary School 1 – JSS1 at inception, the School had a total population of 34 students:  academic staff strength of 6.

On 1st April 1996, Elias International Secondary School received its Approval to establish and operate. On 3rd June 1996, Mr E.E. Adesina assumed duties as the new principal, taking over from Mr Oyekanmi Festus Fasasi.

25th June, 1995 The school had her first Junior School Certificate Examination (JSCE) conducted by the Lagos state Ministry of Education. The first set of students in JSS3 was 71 students.

The second tier of the Secondary School, the Senior Secondary School, was incorporated. As the population of the school increased.   17th February 1997. The school conducted an aptitude test for SS 3 students with a total number of 59 students.

19th February 1999 The school held its maiden Inter-House Sports at the L.G.A park, Oke-Odo. The occasion was chaired by Rev Clement Bamgbade.

The school marked its 35th year of existence on October 29, 2024, with various programs and activities.

The first Valedictory Service for the 1999 WASSCE graduands was held on 25th June 1999 at the school hall.

The maiden Senior School certificate Examination started on 19th June 2000, and the centre supervisor was Mr G.K. Adebisi.

28th October 2011, Another monumental event took place in November 2005 as Dr Mrs. Oluwagunna Oluwakemi came in as administrator to date. This brought in a major shift in the development and growth of the school.

The academic outlook of the school improved significantly; likewise, the teaching and learning facilities improved tremendously in conformity with the 21st Century in Education and development goals. The population of students has risen geometrically from the initial statistics to date. Similarly, the population of staff members has also witnessed rapid growth over time. This has been the extent God Almighty has taken us to at this time, and we are glad in him.

ELIAS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS

Elias International School was established in January 1991 to provide comprehensive education to students from diverse backgrounds, who subscribe to serious academic and moral instructions. A well structured programme of activities in the school, backed up by adequate, up-to-date infrastructural and instructional materials prepare students for all-round academic, physical and social development. Discipline is high, while self-confidence and excellence remain the focus of all curricula activities.
